Dusit Hotels opens Dusit Princess Ipoh hotel

Dusit Hotels will launch the 268-room Dusit Princess Ipoh on 1 October 2026 as the group expands its commercial hospitality presence across Malaysia. The property is owned by Plenitude Berhad, a Bursa Malaysia-listed group with interests in property development, property investment, and hospitality, and is located beside the Perak Turf Club. This opening marks the group’s entry into the Perak state capital, bringing a Thai-inspired brand to a city shaped by its history and food culture.

Connecting to Ipoh’s Heritage

The hotel is set to serve as a base for travellers exploring Ipoh’s unique blend of colonial history and modern culinary appeal. Located approximately 200 km north of Kuala Lumpur, the city has a historic centre filled with colonial-era shophouses, traditional kopitiams, and small local businesses that preserve its past. Its multicultural food scene draws visitors, particularly those interested in Ipoh white coffee, which gets its distinctive flavor from beans traditionally roasted with margarine.
